meet your match
of my favorite things about traveling and ultimately becomes a free souvenir - sweet!
Usually they're scattered all around my apartment in little dishes, but I gathered up some
of my favorites to show you. Thanks for the idea Matters of Style!
(Matches from Gueros Taco Bar in Austin, the now defunct Louis' in Pawley's Island, SC, Scoma's in Sausalito, Vendetta's in Vail, CO, Schmeltema and Roue D'or in Brussels, and my neighborhood favorite Union Square Cafe.)

I love Diane Keaton's quirky style.
This NYTimes article about her other passions
(fashion, photography, etc.) is really cool.

"Après moi le deluge"

I love Happy Menocal's watercolors. You have to check out her sketchbook.
It's full of quirky drawings and little stories. See it here.
Plus, she was featured in Town & Country magazine. Be impressed!!
tres chic: Marais Usa
A couple of girls I went to school with have started an adorable shoe company called Marais USA.
The shoes are cute and super practical. (loving the oxfords)
Plus, their website has lots of fun, extra goodies.
Follow their blog here for updates about trunk shows here in NYC.

DIY: Contact Me

It needed something, besides our weird cameraphone. Something cheap.
I was inspired by Sabbespot’s DIY Chevron Pattern and this NY Times article about a young, married couple and their apartment re-do.
So, I bought a roll of Magic Cover for $3.99 at a hardware store and got to work.
Next thing you know….
Hello Gorgeous.
This project literally could not have been simpler. I just measured my stripes, spaced them evenly apart and cut them out with an Xacto.
I am so happy with my wall!! Now I just have to find the perfect little something something for it.
I was thinking something like this:
This seems like a pretty easy DIY copy.
