summer beauty

summer-beauty

The summer heat in NYC is brutal, so I change my summer beauty routine for a lighter approach. It all begins with moisturizer (I like Clinque), then I lay on Physican's Formula Bronzer - I use it in place of cover-up in the summer. After that it's a few swipes of mascara and I'm good to go. I finish it off with my favorite, Rose Bud Salve on the lips and a bit of Body Shop White Musk perfume oil. I find that perfume oil fares better in the hotter months - at least on my skin.

That's my summer beauty routine. Do you have any summer beauty tricks?

  1. I love the simplicity of this. I can't live without lip balm in the summer (or any season for that matter).

  2. moisturizer and THAT"S it - maybe chapstick and POSSIBLY put mascara on - but otherwise i'm BEACHY all summer!

  3. Great selection! I want to try your parfum, it looks so good smelling, and since everything from the body shop smells good I bet this does too :)

I put on pretty much the same products as you do. I don't like a lot of make-up in the summer!

  4. Simple and light, perfect for hot days. I adore Bigelow's Rose Salve. I carry this everywhere I go. Have not tried Body Shops perfume oil, sounds like a great summer fragrance. WIll try it! Thx

  5. haha I am so bad, but I don't have any beauty tricks for any days at all! I just do my makeup with how I feel that day, but I LOVE bronzer! AND totally need to pick up that rose salve! I tried some before and loved it! :D

  6. Blotting papers! I live in southwest Missouri, where it gets really hot and humid in the summer. I have oily skin, so I cannot live without my powder-free blotting papers!

  7. My routine is pretty similar to yours. I love that rose bud salve! I use it year-round, not just in the summer.
