Pizza To-Go

If you haven't been living under a rock for the past few years, then you know food trucks are all the rage these days, but this has got to be the ultimate food truck.

Jon Darsky's San Fran based food truck Del Popolo is fashioned out of a 20-foot shipping container and features a traditional Italian-made wood burning oven.

This mobile culinary caravan tweets it's latest location and San Fran foodies line up for some of the cities' best pizza.

Del Popolo is definitely going to the top of my list of places to nosh during my upcoming Fall trip to San Francisco. Do you have favorite food trucks in your hometown?

Scenes from The Weekend: Wedding in VT

I'm a little late on this post, but hopefully it was worth the wait!

It was a beautiful weekend for a wedding in Vermont. We headed up early on Friday, and made it in time for a lovely dinner at Simon Pearce (one of my favorite restaurants anywhere, which I posted about this past Winter.)

We squeezed in a beer tasting at Long Trail brewery.

The sun came out just in time for a swim and a glass of rose.

Thanks Vermont! It was a blast!

I love these images of fashion editor/publisher Caroline Issa's London loft. It feels so light and airy - a beautiful contrast to her assertive print and bright color driven wardrobe. Cheerio Caroline!

Are you all watching the Summer Olympics? It's all the rage at our house. If you have Olympic fever (like me) and need some good gear, I suggest taking a trip to the Gap. I am digging the vintage original designs and p.s. they are so ridiculously soft.

What The Shuck!

It's no secret that I love oysters. Which is why this book is right up my alley. Erin Byers gave up her primo job as the Boston editor of DailyCandy.com to spend a year working on the Island Creek oyster farm.

To say I admire Erin would be an understatement. This chick is living the dream! That's not to say her year at Island Creek was a walk in the park (intense physical labor in harsh Boston winters...ouch.) but if her blog is any indication, the world is her oyster! (har har har...) Can't wait to get my hands on this book. It's the ultimate beach read!

P.S. If you find yourself in Boston, don't miss the Island Creek Oyster Company. A restaurant so good, I'd be willing to brave a Boston winter to live close by.

Are you as excited for "The Great Gatsby" as I am? I'm a huge Baz Luhrmann fan and the trailer looks incredible. Can't wait!

What to Pack: 4th of July

I’m heading down South for the 4th of July and here’s what I’m taking with me:

1. Essie Nail Polish in Clambake – The ultimate summer color. This is going on my toes.

2. Ray-Ban Aviators – A true classic, I’ve had the same pair for ages and they never go out of style.

3. Soludos Espadrilles - my new summer basic. Perfect for bike rides and beach parties.

4. Land’s End Canvas Bag – This bag is the perfect size for an extended weekend trip with plenty of interior pockets. It’s gotten pretty beat up, but it’s canvas so it’s easy to wash.

5. I like my bikinis cheap and easy – for basic black, I stock up at places like Forever 21 and Old Navy.

6. WESC denim shorts – nothing beats good all-american denim. These are sturdy and I love the little cuff.

7. Holga Red Camera – I’m excited to experiment with this toy camera and take some cute pics of my niece and nephews.
