The Collectors

Herb and Dorothy aren't your average art collectors. Herb, a postal clerk and Dorothy, a librarian are the surprising owners of a formidable contemporary art collection, including works by Chuck Close and Julian Schnabel. Recently, they donated the majority of their collection to the National Gallery in D.C.

They live in their one bedroom Manhattan apartment with 19 turtles, tropical fish and one cat.

It's amazing that they were able to do it on a civil servant's wage!! Plus - they're obviously meant for each other. I'm a sucker for a good love story :)
