Thanks Ruth...
I like Ruth Reichl. I like food. In a cosmic twist of fate (not really), Ruth Reichl has started a new weekly series on Gilt Taste called "How to Make a Better..." offering tips and tricks to take things to another level in the kitchen.
And, not like I (or my hips...) need this information, but Reichl's first post offers 6 tips on how to make a better grilled cheese. I especially like her tip on using grated cheese, as opposed to sliced.
So, just like that my new year's resolutions are completely derailed! Thanks, Ruth!

seriously, the grated cheese makes SUCH a difference! I just started doing that last year and it helps me get fancier with my cheese choices too.
That series sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out. Speaking of chefs, I'm listening to Blood, Bones, and Butter on CD, if you like Ruth Reichl I think you'd enjoy this book.
I want one now. Love grilled cheese.

i love ruth! i read all three of her memoirs and was hungry the entire time. what a great idea for a series! mmm, grilled cheese!
I love grilled cheese--it's a massive weakness--well cheese is in general. Grilled cheese added to all the chocolate {that just has to be eaten as it was gifts ansd it would be rude not} is going to make me have one great body--not. :)
this looks delicious! I just started using grated cheese... it's a little bit messier but it does melt better!
