Lemony Fresh

How great is this packaging for California-based Limoncello di Sonoma? So fun and bright! Makes me excited for summer. Especially after I read this recipe on their website:

Carneros Cooler
Ingredients:
1oz Limoncello di Sonoma
2oz Tequila
3 Strawberries
2 Basil leaves
Squeeze of fresh lemon
½ oz Simple syrup
2oz Club Soda

Directions:
Muddle Strawberries and basil. Add remaining ingredients in an ice filled cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Pour into a tall glass and top with club soda.

This weekend we made the trek up to Vermont for some skiing. Along the way we made stops at the Long Trail Brewery to sample some suds and Simon Pearce. It was a great weekend, with great friends! Hope yours was good!

While doing some thirsty online browsing, I came across this little gem. It combines two of my favorite things; booze and Downton Abbey. This gal is called the Lady Mary - a tart, but refreshing Lillet (French apertif wine) based cocktail, topped with Champagne. I am so down.

This weekend was low key and involved a lot of couch time. Sunday brunch consisted of homemade eggs en cocotte with chorizo and asparagus. That was my weekend. How was yours?
