where's your head at???

I love this editorial for Vogue Italia. Creepy, but pretty.

Laced up

I love these funky shoelaces from Urban Outfitters. What a cute way to dress up an old pair of Converse. I bought a bunch in bright neons - guess I'll have to do prints too!

Liberty x Merci

I'm on a bit of a Liberty of London kick. I posted recently about Liberty's collab with Target, but I didn't know they were also doing a project with of the moment French concept store Merci. I love the mini-suitcases and stationery!!

smokin' aces

The Ace Hotel here in NYC is pretty cool. The lobby bar is a great place for a drink (though, usually very crowded) and the rooms are modern and different. If you're looking to do New York on the cheap, book their "Starving Artist Package": Book a super cheap bunk bed room and get free ramen noodles from the mini-bar on your first nights stay. Check it all out here.

staple art : it's a must.

How beautiful is this mural?
Would you believe it's made of hundreds of teeny tiny staples?
Cuz it is!!

paradise

I want to go to there.

meet your match

I was inspired by Matters of Style, who obsessively collects matches like I do. It's one
of my favorite things about traveling and ultimately becomes a free souvenir - sweet!
Usually they're scattered all around my apartment in little dishes, but I gathered up some
of my favorites to show you. Thanks for the idea Matters of Style!

(Matches from Gueros Taco Bar in Austin, the now defunct Louis' in Pawley's Island, SC, Scoma's in Sausalito, Vendetta's in Vail, CO, Schmeltema and Roue D'or in Brussels, and my neighborhood favorite Union Square Cafe.)

Paris, 1962

I hope the Hot Tub Time Machine is real, because I know where I wanna go.

keaton on keaton

I love Diane Keaton's quirky style.
This NYTimes article about her other passions
(fashion, photography, etc.) is really cool.

How to spend a weekend

1. Eat lots of yummy stuff.

2. Go to the Aquarium and hang out with Jellies.
