Hurricane Sandy....

Apologies for my lack of posting. I’ve been picking up the pieces post-Sandy and slowly getting back into the groove. We lost power, heat and water for 5 days, and while that was a major inconvenience, I’m feeling blessed to have a roof over my head this evening, while others don’t. My heart goes out to all those who are suffering as a result of Sandy. If you’d like to make a donation the Red Cross, you can help here.

Julez for Japan

After seeing the devastating footage of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Solange Knowles' son Julez wanted to help out. So he created a watercolor inspired by the Japanese flag which is now being printed on t-shirts and sold to benefit the disaster relief efforts. At just 6 years old, it really goes to show that compassion is universally understood at any age.
