The memory game, blocks and puzzles as told through the illustrations of Alexander Girard? Pinch me now. How great are these? Children learning through great design should be the standard. I'm not gonna lie though, I wouldn't mind a set of each for myself. Great gift for kids and adults alike:)

Guest Post: French General

Hello La Dulci Vida... I am Alexis from Fern & Feather. While Dulci is away I thought I would post a bit about my trip to France this summer with French General. Every year Kaari Meng from French General takes 14 women to the south of France to antique and craft. When I heard about this trip I knew that I would move mountains to be there and I am so glad I did, it was the most amazing trip of my life. Filled with amazingly dynamic woman, busting with creativity and overflowing with all things French.

The Chateau Dumas. We all stayed in the same beautiful Napoleonic Chateau. It is beautifully designed with a full staff and even a craft house.

The French market. One of the days we spent the morning wondering around the local market. It was filled with the most beautiful produce you have ever seen, there were even little baby pigs wondering around. It was magical.

Crafts. A few days we stayed at the Chateau and crafted. We made jewelry, fabric flowers and inspired eachother as every lady there was so full of creative energy.

The Brocantes. In the South of France there are several Brocantes {which is basically a flea market}. These fabulous places are over flowing with ‘French Junk’ I felt like a kid in a candy store every little trinket was calling my name. I remember walking out of one of the Brocantes and over heard a man who said “what did those ladies buy?” and the Brocante owner said “Just a bunch of trash." he he.

The end!
